Studies Show Surgical and Cloth Masks Don’t Stop COVID Transmissions

Americans should be told that standard surgical and cloth masks offer no real protection from COVID-19. Even if they could provide some protection, which they can’t, they can be so easily contaminated when they’re not changed regularly that there’s no actual benefit in wearing them.

Governments, businesses, and corporations that have implemented mandatory mask-wearing policies on the general public have cherry-picked incomplete scientific data to serve their specific interests, and they have disregarded the decade of scientific studies and randomized controlled trials with verified outcomes that address the efficacy of wearing face masks.

“If you use only proper studies, randomized controlled trials with verified outcomes, they all unambiguously say … that there is no statistical evidence of a benefit in terms of reducing risk of getting a viral respirator disease. They all say it. … It doesn’t matter if you sanitize surfaces. It doesn’t matter if you’re washing your hands and masks don’t work. … That’s what the [current] science tells us. … The reason is … we have known for a decade now that the transmission route for all these types of virulent respiratory diseases is very fine aerosol particles that are supported as part of the fluid air. With those kinds of particles they’re going to get through the sides of the masks.
