“O Roman people be ashamed; be ashamed of your lives. Almost no cities are free of evil dens, are altogether free of impurities, except the cities in which the barbarians have begun to live…Let nobody think otherwise, the vices of our bad lives have alone conquered us…”—Salvian, 5th-Century Christian writer
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Jon McNaughton is an established artist from Utah whose new paintings have attracted the international attention of millions over the last few years. Highly detailed religious and patriotic subjects are the focus of his paintings. The artist’s experiences and faith are the inspiration for his work.
Last Friday U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas called Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell a liar to his face on the Senate floor, and now he is accusing the Kentucky Republican of leading the effort to keep taxpayer funds going to Planned Parenthood.
Today Cruz came out and said, “The McConnell-Reid leadership team has no interest in cutting off one penny of funds to Planned Parenthood, which is why leader Mitch McConnell just blocked a vote on defunding Planned Parenthood. To the millions of Americans who rallied in November believing if only we got a Republican majority in the Senate something would be different, this was a clarifying and a sad moment.”
Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked amendments to defund Planned Parenthood and pass Kate’s Law, whereby deported illegals who return to the United States would receive a mandatory five-year sentence in a federal penitentiary if convicted.
Planned Parenthood, the nation’s number one abortion provider which has received nationwide attention resulting from an undercover sting of released videos showing PP executives discussing the sale of harvested baby organs from late-trimester abortions, currently receives more than a half billion dollars from taxpayers annually.
The Republican squish has repeatedly said that he supports defunding Planned Parenthood, yet when it came time to put up or shut up, McConnell blocked the amendment to the Highway Bill that would have defunded PP.
To block the amendments, the Obama enabler used “Whorehouse” Harry Reid’s tactic of “filling the tree.” Reid made the tactic popular when he was Democrat majority leader to block Republicans from offering amendments to Democrat bills.
“Filling the Tree” is when the senate leader, who controls the process, uses up the allotted time for amendments on a bill by loading it up with small, insignificant measures in order to run out the clock to prevent other amendments from being introduced.
As a half-hearted attempt to appease critics, McConnell agreed to “fast-track” a stand-alone bill to defund Planned Parenthood; but a stand-alone bill would be subject to a Democrat filibuster, and would require 60 votes to override the filibuster, which means Democrat support that he wouldn’t get. An amendment would only need 50 votes to be included in the Highway Bill.
Although this video by Dr. Umar Johnson is four years old, the three reasons he gives for why Muammar Gaddafi was killed are quite novel and well worth pondering.
“A key part of President Obama’s legacy will be the fed’s unprecedented collection of sensitive data on Americans by race. The government is prying into our most personal information at the most local levels, all for the purpose of “racial and economic justice.”
Unbeknown to most Americans, Obama’s racial bean counters are furiously mining data on their health, home loans, credit cards, places of work, neighborhoods, even how their kids are disciplined in school — all to document “inequalities” between minorities and whites.
This Orwellian-style stockpile of statistics includes a vast and permanent network of discrimination databases, which Obama already is using to make “disparate impact” cases against: banks that don’t make enough prime loans to minorities; schools that suspend too many blacks; cities that don’t offer enough Section 8 and other low-income housing for minorities; and employers who turn down African-Americans for jobs due to criminal backgrounds.”
Big Brother Barack wants the databases operational before he leaves office, and much of the data in them will be posted online.
So civil-rights attorneys and urban activist groups will be able to exploit them to show patterns of “racial disparities” and “segregation,” even if no other evidence of discrimination exists. …
Such databases have never before existed. Obama is presiding over the largest consolidation of personal data in US history. He is creating a diversity police state where government race cops and civil-rights lawyers will micromanage demographic outcomes in virtually every aspect of society.
The first black president, quite brilliantly, has built a quasi-reparations infrastructure perpetually fed by racial data that will outlast his administration.”
Congresswoman Maxine Waters appeared on Roland Martin Reports, Monday, February 4, 2013. Waters told Martin that Obama “has put in place an organization with the kind of database that [is] going to be very, very powerful,”
“That database will have information about everything on every individual on ways that it’s never been done before and whoever runs for President on the Democratic ticket has to deal with that. … he’s [President Obama] been very smart. It’s very powerful what he’s leaving in place.” Waters said.
Bolivian President Honors Pope with Hammer and Sickle Crucifix
By Jerry A. Kane
During a formal ceremony, leftist Bolivian president Evo Morales presented Pope Francis with a communist crucifix depicting Jesus nailed to a hammer and sickle.
Bolivian president Evo Morales presents Pope Francis with communist crucifix
The communist crucifix is a replica, originally designed by Jesuit activist Luis Espinal, who was assassinated in 1980 by suspected Bolivian paramilitaries during the months that preceded a military coup.
The night before, Francis stopped at an airport to pray at the site where Espinal’s body was found.
“Dear sisters and brothers. I stopped here to greet you and above all to remember. To remember a brother, our brother, a victim of interests who did not want him to fight for the freedom of Bolivia,” Francis said.
Following a brief examination of the wooden crucifix, Francis handed the gift to one of Morales’ aides.
Although spokesmen for the Bolivian government maintained that there was no political motive behind the gift, conservative Catholics claimed that Francis was being manipulated for ideological reasons.
Morales also presented Francis with a medal depicting the hammer and sickle in memory of Espinal’s death. Espinal was a Jesuit priest, journalist, and communist agitator.
“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast …” Revelation 13:11,12 (KJV)
The video clip below shows Morales giving Francis several gifts in a formal ceremony. Before Morales gave Francis the communist hammer and sickle crucifix, he presented him with a pectoral cross with the same hammer and sickle image.
According to Francis, Espinal, the Marxist Jesuit who designed the communist crucifix from which the replica was taken, was a friend and brother who “preached the Gospel and this gospel bothered, and that’s why they eliminated him.”
What most Catholics and self-identified Christians don’t know is that the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church has been deeply invested in progressive collectivism for generations. While abhorring atheistic dialectical materialism, the hierarchy has embraced certain elements of Marxist theory including social justice and economic redistribution of wealth and has sided with authoritarian collectivism over personal freedom and individual liberty.
“Papal encyclicals that touch upon socioeconomic issues routinely attack ‘capitalism’ and ‘individualism’ as inhumane and unjust forces, thus implying that less capitalism and individualism would make society more humane and just. See Paul VI’s Populorum Progressio (1967), for example, which rejects the right to private property and demands that ‘public authorities’ (i.e. governments) solve the social injustice of men holding “surplus goods” for their own private use while others lack necessities.”—Daren Jonescu
Catholic visionaries and commentators such as the late Father Malachi Martin and Kathleen Keating have predicted the rise of an Anti-Pope who would transform the Church’s fundamental teachings and lead the faithful to embrace the Antichrist.
Some prophetic scholars say the book of Revelation predicts the rise of a future Antichrist along with the False Prophet who will implement the religion of the Antichrist and cause the masses to worship him as God.
Former CNN Anchor Tells Gun Grabbers to “Shut the F— Up”
By Jerry A. Kane
Former CNN anchor Lynne Russell, who worked for the cable network between 1983 and 2001, has chided gun control advocates for trying to pass laws to prevent people from defending themselves with guns.
“If you don’t want to carry, please don’t. Then, shut the f— up about it. Make your own decisions,” Russell said.
Russell and her husband, former CNN reporter Chuck de Caro, were attacked June 30 by Tomorio Watson, an armed felon who held the couple at gun point in an Albuquerque, New Mexico, Motel 6 room during an attempted armed robbery.
In the course of the commission of the crime, a shootout occurred that left Walton dead and de Caro shot three times, but Russell was not injured during the exchange of gunfire.
Russell said that having a gun “absolutely” saved their lives. Both she and de Caro have been long time advocates for gun rights.
“The discussion over the debate to own a gun is just ridiculous. As Americans we have the right to bear arms and as humans the right to protect ourselves. I’m sure that the man who shot my husband did not have a gun permit. Criminals will always have guns. The rest of us legally obtain our gun permits,” Russell said.
Russell said de Caro has had his breathing tube removed and is doing better each day, but it will be a few weeks before he is released from the hospital. Russell said de Caro is her “hero” and credits his Special Forces background and cool head for saving their lives.
“I’m so grateful to him. He literally is my hero. He saved my life. I’m grateful that he is a responsible gun owner. He’s former Special Forces. He knows how to handle himself,” Russell said.
Although the investigation is ongoing, Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Simon Drobik said that de Caro would not face charges.
