The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 would have never become law had it not been for the Republican Party. The heart of both bills came from the work of Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Obama the Messiah Part 1

During a December 2007 campaign rally for Barack Obama in Columbia, South Carolina, Oprah Winfrey recalled a scene from the 1974 film “The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman.”

Winfrey said Pittman, who had survived slavery and the Civil War, would ask every child, “Are you the one? Are you the one?”

Then Winfrey said, “I do believe today we have the answer to Miss Pittman’s question “Is he the one? South Carolina – I do believe he’s the one.”
