Former APA President Reveals How Homosexual Activists Bullied APA into Removing Homosexuality from List of Disorders

In 1970 homosexual activists began a program of intimidation aimed at the American Psychiatric Association (APA):

“It was never a medical decision—and that’s why I think the action came so fast…It was a political move…That’s how far we’ve come in ten years. Now we even have the American Psychiatric Association running scared.” Barbara Gittings, Homosexual Activist

The following year, 1971, homosexual activist Dr. Franklin Kameny wrote an open letter to the Psychiatric News threatening the APA with more and even worse disruptions:

“Our presence there was only the beginning of an increasingly intensive campaign by homosexuals to change the approach of psychiatry toward homosexuality or, failing that, to discredit psychiatry.” Franklin Kameny

Members of the “National Gay Task Force” managed to get the addresses of APA members, and with-out identifying themselves, sent out harassing letters to all members demanding they vote to remove homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM), the APA’s classification guide for mental disorders.

No new fact, set of facts, or scientific breakthrough triggered the removal of homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses in the 1974 seventh edition of DSM-II. It was dishonesty and intimidation by homosexual activists that moved 32.7 percent of APA’s total membership to approve the change and normalize homosexuality.

Against the wishes of two-thirds of the organization’s members, homosexuals were “cured” overnight by a vote. A psychiatric disorder that had been classified as a mental illness for 25 years (1948-1973) was suddenly banished by vote, by fiat, but not by valid science or by evaluating the pathology or lack of pathology surrounding homosexuality.

Dr. Cummings is a former President of the American Psychological Association (APA). He introduced the motion to declassify homosexuality as a mental illness to APA’s Council of Representatives.

Nearly 8 Out of 10 Americans Accept Women Ministers

According to a newly released survey by the Barna Group, 79 percent of Americans are comfortable with a female priest or pastor, but evangelicals remain largely uncomfortable with the idea.

According to Scripture, women should learn in silence, keep quiet, and be subject to the man and not teach or usurp authority over him. The reasons for this are that God created Adam first and Eve was created from Adam. Apart from God’s established created order, it was Eve who was deceived by Satan, not Adam. She was the one beguiled and believed Satan’s word over God’s, which led to man’s fall and sin entering the world (1 Timothy 2:11-14).

According to Scripture, only men should be in positions of spiritual teaching authority in the church. Women can teach other women and teach children, but they are restricted from having spiritual authority over men and from serving as pastors to men.

The question all self-identified Christians should answer is what the underlying authority for their faith is. Is it a Magisterium, an anointed Governing Body, a denomination’s doctrine, a Prophet/President, a charismatic preacher, or the Scripture? In other words, who or what determines your Christian theology.

SODOMITE PRIDE PARADE PARTICIPANTS DENIGRATE CHRIST AND THE CRUCIFIXION

Sodomite Pride Parade Participants Denigrate Christ and the Crucifixion

Tens of thousands of marchers for Sodomite Pride and approximately 20 dancer-filled theme floats paraded through Sao Paulo’s business district in the predominantly Roman Catholic, socially conservative country of 202 million people.

Organizers of Brazil’s annual Sodomite Pride Parade said they were expecting up to two million people over the course of the event, which has been billed as the largest of its kind in the world.

Some marchers waved rainbow flags while others carried giant banners denouncing Christians as homophobes and proclaiming “Jesus was Gay.”

The slogan for this year’s Sodomite pride event is “I was born this way, I grew up so I will always be like this: respect me.”

City officials reportedly spent close to $500,000 to help organize the event.

Even though Islam condemns homosexuality as a sinful practice and views it as a moral disorder, a moral disease, and a corruption, Sodomite Pride participants never get around to mocking Allah, denouncing Muslims as homophobes, or carrying banners proclaiming “Mohammed was Gay.”

Go figure.
