From the time of the apostles, Christians were united under the authority of the infallible, inerrant word of God.

“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” (Romans 15:4 KJV)

For hundreds of years in North America, Protestant denominations were united under the authority of the King James Version of the Bible. However, today we are witnessing a divide among Protestants greater than at any time since the Reformation.

The various conflicting Bible versions that have flooded the markets in the twentieth century are the major reason for this divide. The omission, addition, and substitution of words in today’s modern Bible versions have divided Christians over doctrines and the meaning of scripture verses.

“In these days we may be accused of bibliolatry, and other new crimes; but we shall hold to our belief in inspiration.” Charles Spurgeon

God’s promise to preserve his words was not an empty promise. The King James Version of the Bible is God’s inspired, preserved word for the world’s English speaking people.

Now Faithful play the Man, speak for thy God.

Fear not the wicked’s malice, nor their rod:

Speak boldly man, the Truth is on thy side;

Die for it, and to Life in triumph ride.

In many ways the Christianity group feature on Gab (a free speech social media alternative to Twitter) reminds me of the Vanity Fair in John Bunyan’s classic Pilgrims Progress. Like Bunyan’s Vanity Fair, Gab’s Christianity group is given over to frivolous pursuits and idle amusements.

Although Gab’s Christianity group is comprised mostly of unregenerate and reprobate Christians, it mirrors Bunyan’s fair in that it lures regenerate believers to the traditions, philosophies, and vain imaginings of a fallen world and away from the whole counsel of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ found only in Scripture.

As at Bunyan’s fair, “the ware of Rome and her merchandise is greatly promoted” so it is in Gab’s Christianity group. Although false gospels resound throughout the cyber group, chiefly promoted among them is Roman Catholicism’s false gospel.

Papal apologists stand at the ready to distract from the truth of Scripture and to direct attention away from it. And when all offers to recognize Church and papal supremacy are spurned and rejected, believers can expect to be verbally attacked and even threatened with violence by Church zealots and apologists.

Born-again believers are the special targets of the group’s hostility. Believers who refuse to conform to the ecumenical leanings of the maniacal group can expect to be taunted, insulted, and ridiculed.

The group’s unregenerate and reprobate Christians take great exception to anyone who claims that Scripture is the sole the authority for the Christian faith and that the King James Bible contains the only Scripture that is trustworthy.

The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Timothy that there would be times like these. “[T]he Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron” (4:1-2 KJV). And reprobate Christians have a seared conscience.

The smorgasbord Christianity that pervades the Gab group is antithetical to Biblical Christianity. Scripture does not teach that God loves everybody or that everyone who believes in God or says “Jesus Christ is Lord” is Heaven bound.

There would be no need for repentance and salvation, and people would be able to think and do whatever is right in their own eyes if it were true that God loves everybody unconditionally.

Scripture clearly teaches that God does not love everybody, that people are sinners under God’s condemnation and judgment, and that repentance is necessary for salvation. The teachings of Scripture are unambiguous; God hates wickedness and all workers of iniquity.

Scripture also teaches that demons believe in God and are condemned to Hell, and that many who do great works and call Jesus Christ Lord will also spend eternity in Hell.

Biblical Christianity is exclusive and does not allow for people to pick and choose verses and passages willy nilly from a smorgasbord of options that they can combine with teachings from other religions or philosophies. Paul attests in Galatians that God does not take the bastardization of His Gospel lightly.

Generally speaking, the Christianity group on Gab displays no love for Biblical truth, nor do they want to hear it in clips or see it in placards, memes, or posts. Equivocation notwithstanding, I denounce the group’s rejection of Biblical truth.

However, as a proponent of freedom of speech and conscience (seared or not), I must defend the unregenerate and reprobate Christian’s right to reject Biblical truth. In fact, I champion both their right to reject it, as well as my right to say that they have done so.

Peace.

The King James Version of the Bible is the greatest book in the history of the world. For nearly 300 years the KJV was the Bible of choice for Christians who preached the salvation of Jesus Christ to the world.

With the publication of the Authorized or King James Version of the Bible, the Roman Catholic Church lost control of the English speaking world. Having failed in their attempts to destroy the KJV, the Jesuit Order of Roman Catholic Church changed their tactics to undermine the King James Bible with corrupted, counterfeit modern versions of the Bible.

The documentary below proves Roman Catholic infiltration, and points out why the destruction of the King James Bible is necessary to implement a global religious system and government.

“Now that the King James Bible has been removed from the hands of the majority of professing Christians, Satan’s false prophets are able to deceive them into thinking that the Roman Catholic Church is no longer the enemy of Bible-believing Christianity.”

The leaders of the Emergent Church movement are calling for the end of the Protestant Reformation:

“For five hundred years the basis of authority has been Sola Scripture. It’s not anymore. We’ve lost our authority. You and I now live in a globalized society. Who’s got the authority?

One of the things that’s happening in this great emergence is that the division between Roman Catholic believers and non-Roman Catholic believers is dwindling away as they enter into the emergence.

The authority for the Reformation was … Scripture only and only Scripture. That authority won’t work now. The absolutism with which Protestants established it as the authority has now shattered and gone. You’d save a lot more souls if you could get rid of doctrine; that’s the truth.

Your kingdom is in your hands and your shaping. Go forth and bring forth a new form of Christianity that will serve a new culture.” Phyllis Tickle, author, lecturer, Emergent Church leader

In 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12, Paul writes that Antichrist’s false prophets “received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

The Roman Catholic Church wants to rid the world of the King James Bible because it is and always has been the greatest threat to papal authority and the establishment of a global religious system and government.

Peace.

The denominations that make up Christendom are full of unregenerate and reprobate enemies of truth who profess belief in Jesus Christ. They sow confusion by mixing lies with Christian doctrine to undermine and discredit the truth of God’s written word.

The Corinthian church in Paul’s day had false teachers who had blended a quasi gospel with Jewish legalism and pagan mysticism. They taught acceptance, and they worked to unite the people of God with idolatrous worshipers and the truth of Scripture with the practices and rituals of paganism.

When Paul found out what was being taught, he called for believers to separate themselves from unbelievers.

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord” 2 Corinthians 6:14-17 KJV

Paul understood that it’s impossible for believers and unbelievers to work together to produce anything that’s spiritually beneficial.

The Lord commanded the Israelites, “Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass togetherDeuteronomy 22:10 KJV. Both animals have different natures, gaits, and strengths. When unequally yoked, it’s impossible for them to plow together effectively.

Partnering with unbelievers muddies the doctrinal waters and cripples the ability to preach Paul’s Gospel and the full counsel of God in Scripture.

Undiscerning believers who partner in a common spiritual cause with unbiblical forms of Christianity or other false religions have opened the door wide to satanic corruption. The appearance of unity, no matter how enticing, is not worth sacrificing Scriptural truth and Gospel clarity.

Jesus told His disciples, “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of menMatthew 5:13 KJV.

The primary issue with Christ is the salt, not society. It’s the salt that keeps society from putrefying. “When nations are to perish in their sins, ’tis in the Church the leprosy begins.”

Christendom’s denominations have become apostate. They falsely reassure their flocks that all is well between them and God, when in truth they are headed for eternal damnation.

When the foundations of the Christian faith are under attack, Christians must contend for the faith, not compromise Scriptural truth for the sake of ecumenical unity. Christians are called to “obey God rather than men”Acts 5:29 KJV.

It may be polite and pleasant to tone down teachings and soften messages, but neither Christ nor the apostles built collegial relationships with false teachers; in fact, Scripture forbids it, see Romans 16:17, 2 Thessalonians 3:6, 2 Timothy 3:5 KJV.

Christ warned that He will spue a lukewarm church out of His mouth. “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20 KJV.

Praise God for Christians who will open the door to Christ, confront Satan’s unscriptural nonsense, earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints, and not shrink back in declaring the whole counsel of God.

Peace.

It’s been said that people would not have the Bible if it weren’t for the Roman Catholic Church. According to the Church, the councils of Hippo (393) and Carthage (397) had ruled the canon issue settled, and the 1546 Council of Trent reaffirmed their rulings. The Church’s claim that its councils gave the world the Bible is as ludicrous as Al Gore’s claim that he gave the world the Internet.

First of all, the Hippo and Carthage councils were provincial, not ecumenical, that is, the rulings they issued were local and not binding on the entire church. What’s more they didn’t authoritatively settle any canonical issues in the church at the time they met.

“[T]here was not a “catholic” (universal) canon of the New Testament even as late as the 8th century. There was widespread agreement by that time on the 27 books that we recognize were inspired, but there was no authoritative presence telling all Christians they must accept one set of books or another.”

According to historian and author Rod Gragg, the Roman Catholic Church councils did not select the books in the Bible.

“[T]he New Testament canon … was not a group of books assembled by chance or forced on the early church by fourth century church councils but was steadily and unhurriedly established through its acceptance by church congregations from the first century onward.” Rod Gragg

Almost the entire New Testament could be duplicated from the quotations found in early church writings before the Council of Nicea in 325. In Gragg’s view, “the church councils did not pick the 27 books of the New Testament, but rather acknowledged what already had been accepted by the Christian community.”

Gragg points out “the Old Testament canon was already well-established by the Jewish community more than 250 years before Christ.” The Jews recognized and correctly assembled the Old Testament Scriptures without the aid of the Roman Catholic Church, and the early Christians did the same thing with the New Testament Scriptures. Gragg concurs:

“The New Testament canon … was established not by a single meeting or by a pronouncement by a group of Christian leaders, but by the progressive, unhurried acceptance of those 27 books by Christian congregations in the era of the early church. Historically, Christianity has attributed the emergence of the New Testament as an act of the Holy Spirit. By the time the famous church councils began meeting in the 4th century A.D., the New Testament canon was already well-established by the use of those 27 books within the early church.”

Keep in mind the Scriptures were being circulated to the churches when the apostles were alive (Colossians 4:16; 1 Thessalonians 5:27; Revelation 1:11), and they were read in the synagogues and churches (Luke 4:16-20; Acts 15:21; 17:1-2; 10-12; 1 Timothy 4:13).

Some people carried the Scripture with them (Acts 8:30-34), and they were meant to be read by all (1 Corinthians 1:2; Ephesians 1:1; Revelation 1:3). Jesus referred to the three parts of the Jewish canon (“the Law of Moses…the prophets…the Psalms…” Luke 24:44), and Peter acknowledged Paul’s writings as Scripture and likened them to other Scriptures (2 Peter 3:15-16).

The truth is the “councils did not actually pick books and declare them to be the Bible; instead, they recognized or acknowledged the canon that already existed.”

The Gospel

Edited by John W. Robbins

The Gospel is the good news about the person and work of Jesus Christ, the second Adam. In the whole stream of human history there are only two men who have universal significance – Adam and Jesus Christ. Adam was not merely the biological father of the race; he was the legal representative of the whole human race. He acted for all. His sin involved all: “by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners…” (Romans 5:19).

Consequently, the whole stream of human history has been corrupted by human sinfulness, and all stand under the judgment of the law. None of that history can satisfy the demand of holiness, for even the lives of the best saints fall far short of the glory of God. Into this sinful stream of human history, God sent forth his Son to be our “everlasting Father” (Isaiah 9:6), our second Adam, our new representative. His name was Immanuel – God with us.”

In Jesus Christ we see God with us in poverty and humiliation, God with us in trial and sorrow, and finally, God with us in suffering and death. More than that, Jesus was “God…for us” (Romans 8:31). What he did in all his glorious acts of goodness was done for his people. It was done in our name and on our behalf, for he was our representative who acted for us before the bar of eternal justice. By his sinless life he fulfilled the precepts of the law for us, and by his death he satisfied the penalty of the law for us. On our behalf he strove with sin and annihilated its power.

In his human nature he engaged the devil in hand-to-hand combat and destroyed his power. He tasted death and abolished it, “…having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And he has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it” (Colossians 2:14, 15).

All that Christ did is imputed to his people through faith. His victory is ours. So the apostle says, “By the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life” (Romans 5:18).

There are three things we must say about this good news of Jesus Christ:

1. The Gospel is about an historical event. It is about Jesus Christ coming into the world and not about Jesus Christ coming into our hearts. It is historically objective.

Christianity is the only truly historical religion. It alone proclaims a salvation based on a concrete outside-of-me event.

Of course, the Gospel has subjective benefits. It has effects and fruits in the hearts of all who believe it. But in the Gospel itself there is not one subjective element. It happened completely outside of you and me.

The Gospel brings to view a new holy history – the thirty-three years which Jesus Christ lived on Earth. In the death of Jesus Christ, God rejected and punished our sinful history; and having buried it with Jesus Christ, he brought forth that new history. Now he proclaims to us that he accepts us as righteous solely on the basis that he has accepted his Son and our representative, Jesus Christ.

The Gospel is the good news that the saving deeds have taken place, the redemptive transaction has been sealed by Christ’s blood and attested to by his resurrection from the dead. God’s liberating act has been carried out, and believers are cleansed, accepted, and restored in the person of Jesus Christ. The Gospel is historical.

2. The Gospel is about a unique history. There is no other event, and can be no other event, like the Christ event. His holy history is unique. In the whole stream of human history, Christ alone is without sin. We must never compromise the unique sinlessness of Jesus Christ. Only one is absolutely righteous in reality and fact.

The saints can be absolutely righteous only by the merciful reckoning of Christ’s righteousness by faith alone. No one but Christ, the slain Lamb, is able to open the book and look therein (Revelation 5:1-5).

3. The Gospel is about an unrepeatable history. This is the great emphasis given by the writer of Hebrews. The offering of Christ was once and for all:

By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this Man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till his enemies are made his footstool. For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. (Hebrews 10:10-14)

We are never called upon to initiate another redemptive event. Nothing needs to be added to what Christ has already done. Nothing can be added to it. God himself cannot add to it. We say it reverently but decidedly: This is one thing that God could not do again – the giving of and offering of his Son, Jesus Christ.

Paul tells us that with him God gave us “all things” (Romans 8:32). To suggest that God could do this again is to imply that God did not really give everything the first time. But he emptied all Heaven in one gift. He poured out all the accumulated love of eternity. He kept nothing back, but gave all he had to give. The Gospel is unrepeatable history.

This unique, unrepeatable event, this holy history of Jesus Christ, is the focal point of Biblical proclamation. These mighty deeds of the incarnate Son, this awesome, effective act of atonement, is the one great pre-occupation of the apostolic message.

Gospel preaching is the constant exposition of this historical Gospel and the unfolding of its significance for men and women everywhere. All who believe are justified, not on the grounds of their faith, but on the grounds of the saving acts of God already done once and for all in Jesus Christ.

The gospel messages documented throughout the book of Acts and the Epistles are not identical. Most Christians fail to discern the differences in the New Testament gospel messages preached by the Apostle Peter and by the Apostle Paul.

“[T]here are two Gospels, each dependent upon the Blood of the Cross. The one Gospel is earthly (Kingdom), the other is heavenly (Grace). Both Gospels are “according to Jesus, ” and present only one way: by faith.

One Gospel was ministered by Christ on earth, during His pre-Cross humiliation, and was exclusively addressed to Israel regarding her Millennial Kingdom. The other–altogether “new creation” other–was ministered to Paul by the glorified Lord Jesus Christ; after Calvary, from heaven, exclusively to and for His Chosen heavenly Body.

John the Baptist’s, Jesus’, and the Apostles’ Gospel concerned the Messiah and His Kingdom–specifically and repeatedly referred to as “the Gospel of the Kingdom” (Matt. 4:23; 9:35; 24:14; Mark 1:14; Lu. 9:2,6). The other, “the Gospel of Grace of God,” was neither preached nor mentioned until Paul went forth to declare it (Acts 20:24; Rom. 3:21; Eph. 3:1-3).” Miles J. Stanford, Pauline Dispensationalism, pg 5.

Does the Bible Forbid Ordination of Women? By Gordon H. Clark

http://gordonhclark.reformed.info/does-the-bible-forbid-ordination-of-women-by-gordon-h-clark/

Professor Gordon Clark’s article refutes the current arguments for women pastors and church officials. Clark writes, “If we accept Scripture as our norm, it is forbidden to seize one verse and misinterpret it to the detriment of other explicit passages. The more obscure must always be understood in the light of what is clear and indisputable. … In the New Testament there is no authority for or example of a woman elder or minister. And we are bound by the Scriptures, the infallible and only rule of church government. We dare not add, subtract, or alter.”
