In August 1996, Osama bin Laden declared war against Americans for occupying Saudi Arabia and vowed to drive them from the Arabian Peninsula. In August 2011, while on a five-city tour of townhall meetings and job fairs, members of the Congressional Black Caucus declared war on Americans in the Tea Party movement. Caucus members outlandishly claimed that tea party members want to lynch black people and reinstate Jim Crow laws.

In the 4:10 video montage below, several Black members of the U.S. Congress tell constituents in Cleveland, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, and Atlanta that they are at “war” with the “racist tea party.” Some caucus members call for bank runs and civil unrest in black communities, and Congressman Al Green suggests that blacks go on the offensive and silence the tea party.

“Will we allow a minority voices [sic] to speak for the majority?”

Isn’t it a bit disconcerting that the people who levy charges of racism actually do more to keep it alive by constantly stoking the fires of racial hatred?

Congressional Black Caucus member Allen West claims to be a big supporter of the tea party, yet he hasn’t confronted his fellow caucus members about their inflammatory rhetoric to incite racial hatred among blacks toward tea party members.

Although West talks a good game, his actions befit an opportunist or politician. Conversely, South Carolina’s Tim Scott appears to be more of a statesman. Unlike West, he didn’t join the Congressional Black Caucus; he voted against the Caucus to continue funding the Pigford reparations scam; and he kept his word to his constituents and refused to shut up, get his ass in line and vote with Boehner and the neocons to increase the debt ceiling and increase government spending. Scott’s actions prove he’s not afraid to place the country’s best interest ahead of his own.

Actions speak louder than words, so believe what you see and forget what you heard.”—Unknown
