On Election Day 2008, King Samir Shabazz and Jerry Jackson of the New Black Panther party stood in front of a Philadelphia polling station dressed in military-style garb, yelling racial slurs, as one waved a billy club. Party Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz confirmed that the Panthers’ deployment was part of a nationwide effort to place members at polling locations on Election Day.
The following video is footage of Shabazz and Jackson outside the polling station during the 2008 presidential election.
The Philadelphia voter intimidation case against the Panthers was dropped by Eric Holder’s Justice Department, only Shabazz was found guilty of voter intimidation, and was ordered to stay away from city polling places until 2012. Holder’s Justice Department decided to administer a slap-on-the-wrist punishment and drop the charges rather than enforce the Voting Rights Act; i.e., protect the abusers instead of the voters. The National Geographic Channel’s Inside Report on Shabazz and the New Black Panthers reveals the caustic and virulently racist core of the organization protected by Brother O and Eric Holder.

Below is a partial transcript from the NATGEOTV.COM video:
SAMIR SHABAZZ: I hate white people — all of them. Every last iota of a cracker — I hate him. Because we’re still in this condition, man.
NARRATOR: Samir will use any opportunity to shout his message. Even at a festival to celebrating African heritage.
SAMIR SHABAZZ: We didn’t come out here to play today. There’s too much serious business going on in the black community to be out here sliding through South Street with a white, dirty, cracker whore (expletive) on our arms. … We keep begging white people for freedom. No wonder we’re not free. Your enemy cannot make you free, fool. You want freedom? You’re going to have to kill some crackers. You’re going to have to kill some of their babies. Let us get our act together.
NARRATOR: The New Panthers firmly believe that as long as the races mix, blacks and whites will never achieve equality. They believe that blacks are the original people, and see themselves and the kings and queens of the world. They oppose interracial dating and marriage and work to preserve the purity of the black race. The only way they believe they can achieve their aims is to obtain social and political control.
“I observed a speech given by Khalid Muhammad [former New Black Panther leader] where he said that you should not just go into white people’s houses and just kill the white man and his wife. He said you should go into that bedroom and find that little white baby and stab him in his chest.” Ahmad A. Rahman, PhD, Historian
“I said if we’re going to be merciful we give ’em [whites] 24 hours in South Africa to get out of town by sundown. I said if they don’t get out of town; we kill the men; we kill the women; we kill the children; we kill the babies; we kill the blind; we kill the cripple; we kill the crazy; we kill the fagots; we kill the lesbians; I said goddamnit, we kill ’em all.”—Khalid Muhammad
