More Lies and Deceit

Montana Democrat Max Baucus along with a contingency of Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee struck down Republican amendments that would provide legislative language and a price tag to the health care bill before voting on it.

The ruling Democrats voted not only to keep Americans from reading the bill online in its original wording, but they also voted to keep the Congressional Budget Office from performing a cost analysis of the bill.

To further avoid transparency and prevent scrutiny, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), which administer benefits under Medicare, issued a gag order and threatened to investigate insurance companies that warned customers about losing benefits under Obamacare.

The CBO director told Baucus’ committee that its plan to cut Medicare Advantage would cause 2.7 million people to lose the coverage and reduce benefits for the rest, which would make the program so unattractive that nobody would be buying policies.

Will Senate Democrats match their counterparts in the House for chutzpah and claim there won’t be rationing or cuts in heath care, now that they’ve voted against amendments that specifically prevented rationing and cuts in heath care?
