Amidst a Firestorm
By Jerry A. Kane
In the aftermath of BigGovernment’s investigative videos of ACORN employees in Baltimore, Washington DC, and New York City offering advice on how to evade taxes, cover up prostitution activity, and conceal the use of illegal immigrant minors in prostitution, the U.S. Census severed ties, the Senate voted 83-7 to nix housing funds, and today House Republicans plan to introduce a bill to end all federal funding to ACORN and its affiliates.
The seven “Child-Whoring Pimp Assistance Program defenders” who voted against Mike Johanns’ (R-NE) Senate amendment to strip ACORN funding from the HUD and Transportation appropriation bill are as follows:
- Dick Durbin (D-IL)
- Roland Burris (D-IL)
- Robert Casey (D-PA)
- Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)
- Patrick Leahy (D-VT)
- Bernie Sanders (I-VT)
- Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI)
Will Nancy Pelosi allow the amendment come to the floor?
Will the Johanns amendment survive a conference committee?
Will propagandists in the progressive-controlled media begin to report on the ACORN controversy?
While concerned citizens sit on pins ‘n needles waiting for answers to these questions, Bertha Lewis, CEO of ACORN, doesn’t care if the group loses taxpayer dollars:
“Fortunately, ACORN derives most of its income from its members and other supporters, so the decision will have little impact on overall operations.”
However, she is concerned that her fellow-travelers in the media continue to carry ACORN’s water:
“Tonight’s [Senate] vote will burden the families who benefited from ACORN’s important work to improve housing conditions in the United States.”
Now that the corrupt underbelly of Brother O’s favorite group of Commie-Organizers has been exposed, media grim weavers Noisy Nora, Up-Chucky, and Sorry Charlie are out to spin a defense for indefensible actions. Being a propagandist for loony progressives does have its downside.
