The Lower Manhattan Redevelopment Corporation (LMDC) plans to dole out $5 million in taxpayer funds to developers for the construction of the Ground Zero mosquestrocity in Manhattan.
Park51 developers have secretly applied for a community and cultural enhancement grant, which far exceeds the $100,000 to $1 million suggested range for such grants.
Over $22 billion in federal grant money was earmarked for the recovery and redevelopment of lower Manhattan following the attacks of September 11, but now tax dollars will go to subsidize a Muslim educational, cultural, and community center “where people can gather to learn about the need to destroy the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.”
The Ground Zero Cordoba House project will add one more place of worship to the 100 mosques currently in Manhattan. The Cordoba House gets its name from the Cordoba Mosque built by Muslim Moors in Spain to honor their conquest. Muslims in the Middle East celebrate 9/11 as a great Islamic victory over the United States, a.k.a. the Great Satan.
