At the end of last month, Brother O blew off attending the Boys Scouts 100th year anniversary at the National Jamboree in Virginia; he opted instead for the matronly affections of the hostesses on The View.

A Newsweek op-ed by Fareed Zakaria says that US taxpayers have been funding Islamic “mosques, schools, institutes, and community centers” throughout the world.

“[E]arly in its tenure the Bush administration began a serious effort to seek out and support moderate Islam. Since then, Washington has funded mosques, schools, institutes, and community centers that are trying to modernize Islam around the world.

Were this mosque [Ground Zero Mosque] being built in a foreign city, chances are that the U.S. government would be funding it.”—Fareed Zakaria
