The Arizona primary was tailor-made for conservatives to grab the reins of leadership from the limousine leftists and right the party’s course once again. Arizona’s primary afforded tea partiers a new opportunity to shock the nation with yet another Massachusetts-style miracle, only this time around it would be an incumbent RINO taking the fall.
It appears now the miracles have ended and reality has set in. The tea party “patriots” just served notice that they will be sitting this one out, taking a powder, grabbing their ball and getting in their clown-car and driving off without endorsing the conservative J.D. Hayworth in the upcoming primary.
All the protests and rallies, all the rhetoric about making a real difference, holding politicians accountable, and standing against the socialist tide amounted to nothing more than a hill of beans, 15-minutes of fame on radio and TV, and a lot of empty talk.
Thanks Bozos for leaving the door open. McCain’s a shoe-in now. “Toot, toot, beep! Chugga, chugga!”
I am distraught … I am disheartened …

Arizona Tea Party Leaders Decline to Endorse in AZ Senate Race
By Mark B. Evans
The organizers of the four largest Arizona Tea Party organizations – including the Tucson Tea Party, Greater Phoenix Tea Party, Flagstaff Tea Party, and Mohave County Tea Party – issued a joint press release regarding their unified decision to decline endorsing a candidate in the Arizona Senate primary race between John McCain, J.D. Hayworth, and Jim Deakin.
“The Tea Party is a non-partisan, grassroots movement that stands for limited government, free markets, and fiscal responsibility. Both McCain and Hayworth’s records during their many years in Washington leave much to be desired on these issues,” said Robert Mayer, co-founder of the Tucson Tea Party.
“It is their job to hold themselves up to these values and fight for our votes.”
Other tea party organizers across the state agreed that the local organizations should not endorse so early if at all.
“It is not appropriate to make an endorsement in this race at the drop of a hat, as some other groups are doing,” said Kelly Townsend, organizer of the Greater Phoenix Tea Party.
“The movement must stand for ideas, and do everything possible to provide information to people so that they can make the best personal decisions.”
Roger Boone, organizer of the Flagstaff Tea Party, added, “The Tea Party should not endorse individual politicians, as their future actions may reflect poorly on our organization. We encourage our members to endorse and vote for whomever they choose, but as a group we will not endorse officially.”
“We stand for principles and ideas, not for politicians or parties,” said Patrick Beck, organizer of the Mohave County Tea Party.
“Our mission is to promote constitutional government and fiscal responsibility, and to inform people so that they can make their own decisions.”
I am with you Jerry. I am going to forward this email to my list and with your permission post it on my website. We need to get this message viral. Perhaps authentic conservatives around the country can pick up the slack where those posers dropped the ball. We really need to do what Jim DeMint has been doing and “money bomb” Hayworth.
This is all about cowardice as you suggested. Some people feel they owe McCain for some deranged reason. He is acting a bit more conservative as he sees what is happening but that doesn’t change the fact that almost his entire Senatorial career has been marked by egregious compromise and self serving stunts to earn the plaudits of the leftist media.
John McCain is the defining example of what has led to the collapse of the GOP. There are enough conservatives in this country who understand the importance of removing key RINO’s in order to truly purge this party. John McCain is toward the top of the list of senators who have undermined this party -repeatedly- in order to feed his ego and earn praise from the pseudo-intelligentsia. Let’s not dupe ourselves into believing that he has ever been an advocate of conservative principles simply because liberals we’re able to hijack the nomination due to a schism among conservatives that caused the conservative vote to be diluted among to many different candidates. In my opinion, the top Senatorial RINO’s that need to be extricated (now that Specter’s gone) are Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, John McCain and Lindsey Graham. (I’m sure there are others who should be on that list.)
It is well past time for this group to go and there is no reason why conservatives nationwide could not donate to primary candidates opposing these offenders (when they have primary challengers as McCain does). Yes, Senators are supposed to be the business of each state but unfortunately, as we have seen from the east and west coastal states, we all have an interest in some these elections because some of these states are poisoning the well for all of us.
It would be a terrible injustice to let this opportunity pass by. We need to circulate this link to Hayworth’s website. If everyone throughout the nation who -can- donate to JD’s campaign will do so – we can do the job that some imposters who are calling themselves “tea partiers” refuse to do.
