Brother O Punishes Hondurans for Refusing to Return a Would-be Dictator to Power
The Bread and Circuses Administration will now block visas from being issued to Hondurans to prevent their traveling to the United States. Brother O’s left-wing administration intends to punish Honduras for its Supreme Court’s refusal to allow the country’s ex-president, Manuel Zelaya, to return to power. Zelaya, a would-be dictator, is backed by left-wing Latin American dictators Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez.
“Given the substantial Honduran population in the U.S., and the fact that Hondurans frequently travel to and from the U.S. on business or to visit family members, the Obama Administration’s restrictions on their relatives’ right to travel are a serious encroachment on civil liberties.”
In an effort to further destabilize the tiny country, State Department staff have recommended that Zelaya’s removal from power be declared a “military coup,” a decision that could cost the third-poorest country in the Western Hemisphere as much as $150 million in U.S. aid.
Although Brother O and his media propagandists incessantly refer to the removal of Honduras’ ex-president as a “coup,” clearly Honduras did not undergo a coup d’etat, i.e., a sudden, illegal overthrow of a legitimate government by a small group.
Hondurans did not overthrow their government; they simply removed an illegitimate, overbearing part of it, its president, and are legally justified in doing so.
Honduras’ president was removed by a unanimous decision of the Honduran Supreme Court, nearly unanimous approval of the Honduran Congress, and in accordance with the will of the majority of Hondurans.
Honduras has been pushed to the brink of economic collapse by recent turmoil and the Administration’s foolish responses will further destabilize the tiny country’s government and economy.
But Brother O has shown a “willful disregard of political oppression” and seems more intent on appeasing despots and their ousted ally.
